How We Try to Help Rescue Pugs
It's really impawtant to us that we pay forward the love that we have shared with our Puggies over the last 20 years by helping other Rescue Puggies find their fur-ever families:
š¾ Donations ā $1 from every sale goes towards the rehabilitation of rescue pugs.
š¾ Foster Care ā We are registered foster carers with Pug Rescue & Adoption Victoria.
š¾ Sponsorship ā We sponsor fundraising events that support pug rescues.
š¾ Event Organization ā We help plan and organize fundraising events for pug rescue efforts.
š¾ Adoption Advocacy ā We encourage adoption over purchasing when itās the right fit for a family.

Rescue. Love. Repeat.

Because every pug deserves a soft bed and warm heart

Rescue. Love. Repeat.

Saving snorts, one pug at a time

Rescue. Love. Repeat.

Rescue Pug fostering
We have been blessed with six foster Pugs since 2021, with Buster the Blind Rescue Pug our current foster.
We love fostering rescue pugs because they give us so much love, even after they've been mistreated by their previous Hooman's.
They give us hugs that are soooooo warm and snuggly, and nothing beats a sneeze in the face either.
Meet Buster the Blind Rescue Pug
Arriving into Pug Rescue careĀ Buster underwent a huge amount of ābasic vetā work at Knox Vet that he needed to begin to patch him up the best we could.
Dr Sharon performed desexing, spine and hip X-rays, mast cell cancer removal and a dental as well.
The massive surgery incision that was needed to remove Busterās cancer has healed up and lab results show it was a lower grade mast cell cancer with clear margins thankfully.
Buster has also been to see eye specialistĀ Melbourne EyeVetĀ and now has some special eye drops to help make his eyes more comfortable and hopefully restore a tiny bit of his vision over time.
Whilst Buster might be a senior boy with limited sight, he doesnāt miss anything!
He can perfectly navigate his way around his foster home (even during some renovations that required furniture to be moved), he can jump up on the couch and even use a doggy door which is amazing!
Buster has beautiful, peaceful nature and gets along with Rosie and Kenji brilliantly.
If heās not joining in on whatever is going on he can be found curled up snuggling with a Rosie or Kenji, which is lovely to see.
Short strolls to sniff out the tree mail are a favourite pass-time for him, and of course, if you have food Buster will be your mate.
Buster is a champ for his eye drops which he gets twice a day, and after years of suffering his eyes are already so much more comfortable.
If you think that you might be Buster's next fur-ever family, please check out his adoption profile and submit an application.
Buster will make a pawfect family addition for the right family and we think they're out there just waiting to meet him.
FUNDRAISING & EVENT SPONSORSHIP
We've started off our year of fundraising with our Pugs n Stripes Collection Launch Pawty - we asked our guests to buy a donation ticket or donate on the day and they were very generous.
We raised over $400 for our Rescue Puggie fur-ends and hope to do more soon.

LEARN MORE ABOUT RESCUE PUGS

Many years ago, when I rescued my first pug Louis a.k.a Fatdog through a local Vet who was doing everything they could to save the life of a little black pug whose only crime was that his family no longer wanted him and thought it was better to āput him downā than find a loving home, did I realise just how naive I was about the world of pugs.
Which is why todayās episode is so important to me ā today Iām talking to Joanna from Pug Rescue and Adoption Victoria, a volunteer community foster care network that
rehabilitates Pugs, and Frenchies when the need arises, so that they find their fur-ever loving family and to never have to face the possibility of being āput downā because their owners donāt want to help them find a loving home.
